Rinku Singh has turned out to be a great success for all those who are struggling financially, yet have dreams to achieve something BIG! Rinku, who along with his family has stayed in LPG quarters for most of his lives and also seen how debts can swallow your dreams, was acquired by KKR in 2018 for Rs 80 lakh. Even though the first season didn’t turn out to be great, his potential was considered and he was retained for IPL 2019 as well.
He stitched the loopholes in his batting with mentor Abhishek Nayar at the KKR Academy during the off season. The results were pretty visible in his 2018-19 Ranji Trophy outing for Uttar Pradesh, where he ended up being the third highest run getter (953 runs in 10 innings) of the tournament with four hundreds (163*, 149, 149 and 150) in his kitty.
Even though Rinku hasn’t yet bloomed fully in IPL, we are certainly hopeful of some great performances from him this season in the UAE.
